Here is my "Fall" lolita. I'm really happy with her outfit, specially the stripes on the shirt. The gray shading turned out all right. I really want to get a whole set of markers that are just different grays.
But I'm not too thrilled with the lack of a background. The rest of them really don't have a background either, but I think this needs a little something more. What do you think?
I like the coloring of the dress, especially the varied grays. It gives the dress a shiny appearance. Is that a lamp post next to her? Because both Spring and Summer Loli have plants with them, I thought this was a tree trunk, but unless the tree were made of plastic...
I think having a more developed background could either take the attention off her, or emphasize her. Because she's wearing white, gray and a shirt with red stripes, color isn't separating her from the white background. Since there're leaves blowing in the wind, maybe adding some faded wind "waves" or mini whirlwinds of leaves in the background? Or something minor, yet filling the blank space behind her. Because her dress is a majority of the figure, adding a colorful background might de-emphasize her, pulling the focus to the background instead of keeping it on her.
The dress looks really good, both of the varied gray shade on the skirt and the stripes on the shirt.
Actually I don't mind about the lack of BG, if you intend to make the character outstanding so everyone can see the features on her better then that's fine. Anyway, what I want to criticize should be the size of her hand and the way some logs of her hair flows along with the wind. First with her hand, it's too small in my opinion. The proper size that hand should be is about the same as face length. The palm is too short as well, I think it would be better if the length of palm is about 2/3 of middle finger length.
About her hair, I feel those logs flowing along the wind are kinda stiff and look awkward that they're all in same size. It could be better if you add some more little logs among them making them more varied.
Ah, thank you very much for you comment. While it's a little late to change the hand (but thank you for the tip), I could probably go back and add a few more wisps of hair.
ohhh, very black peace now. Thou shalt draw bigger hands, rar. This really isn't critique but...white loli (white in thr fall maybe is..oddd? hum. maybe...) in the fall....? this is not really loli...it's more....BPN lady. You'd see her in a goth loli bible, see.....but not technically loli, I don't think cos she's not ADORABLE, but rather mysterious and sexy. I shall call her...fuu iro kuroi shite hoshii no onna.
